Celtic Knot, the beginning

I am going to make this,
This is a partially colored graphed of the Celtic Knot

Out of this.

I have been planning on making this quilt for over a year.  The fabrics were purchased and have been waiting for me.  I'm not sure what got into me today to start it, but I have learned to just go with it when the get it started urge calls me.

I printed a layout of the quilt, and divided it into 25 blocks.  I graphed out the twenty five large blocks, by breaking them into nine patch blocks.

It all sounds completely confusing, even to me.  Hopefully you can make sense of my explanation.

This should be fun, (I hope) and a different kind of challenge for me.

Thanks for reading, I appreciate it.

  1. This looks like a really exciting project! I am so impressed with your stratedgy for making what looks like a pretty complex quilt design.

Really looking forward to following your progress on this quilt! Wishing you GREAT success with it!

  2. This looks like a fun project -- you'll just have to keep very close track of what you're sewing together! On a different note, I have completely fallen in love with the latest fabric collection from Red Rooster called Postcard Garden. I even have an idea what to do with it -- not like I don't have anything else to work on right now!
